RMG wants to upgrade their existing Siemens legacy process control system to a modern process control system based on SIMATIC PCS 7 and tackle the following challenges: 

• Secured supply of customers with the best drinking water quality 
• System availability of the plant through preventive maintenance and ensuring serviceability 
• Plannable modernization and maintenance costs 
• Telecontrol technology: communication connection via different media (optical fiber directional radio, mobile radio, wired) 
• Implementation of reliable notification and logging systems

The migration solution is based on a SIMATIC PCS 7 Lifecycle Services Contract and includes the following: 

• Migration of the legacy system to a new state of the art SIMATIC PCS 7 process control system 
• Full service contract over 15 years (incl. complete system support and integrated modernization cycles)
