Whether buffer, deep-freeze or distribution warehouse: Up until now, only storage and retrieval machines or shuttle solutions have been available when it comes to implementing highly automated small-parts warehouses. There is an enormous gap between the performance of a storage and retrieval machine with approximately 120 double cycles per hour and the maximum possible shuttle performance of 1000 double cycles per hour.
New shuttle vehicle design from the mechanical system through the drive technology to the power supply:
  • Multi-level shuttle that combines the advantages of a classic storage and retrieval machine and conventional shuttle systems (Klincat system)
  • Space is efficiently utilized by using drives for the load handling attachment that are laterally mounted onto the telescopic table
  • A newly designed power supply system reduces the number of contact cables
  • Less space is required in the control cabinet as the drive converter is mounted directly on the motor
Multi-level shuttles combine the advantages of a classic storage and retrieval machine and conventional shuttle systems:
  • The lightweight design means that travel and lifting motors with a lower power rating can be used
  • Lower component cabling costs
  • Performance of the overall system increased by 330%
Multi-level shuttle that combines the advantages of a classic storage and retrieval machine and conventional shuttle solutions. Several compact hybrid shuttles are used instead of one shuttle per tote level.  These shuttles access up to nine tote levels and can be deployed in each aisle on several levels above one another – which means the system can be almost scaled as required.
