Cold forming
machine now with direct drive: “If forming takes place more slowly, the tools
need to be replaced less often. Stable, smooth transport prevents a workpiece
from entering the die at an angle,” explains Andreas Maritz, Innovation Manager
at Hatebur. The fact that the flywheel no longer has to be started and braked
saves time in day-to-day operation, for example when changing tools. “We’ve
been looking to provide our machines with a direct drive for some time now, and
we’ve also been in contact with Siemens here.”
