Trivium Packaging Czech Republic started a digital transformation and has taken the first steps toward enterprise-wide data monitoring in its metalworking plant. They needed to integrate separately operated machinery and production lines into a centralized system to collect manufacturing data in one place and thus to improve productivity.

Centralizing of data from machines while using

• SIMATIC CloudConnect 7, an intelligent communication gateway enabling connectivity to central enterprise system.
• SCALANCE XC216 Industrial Ethernet switches for connecting of other components.
• SCALANCE S615 NAT routers for converting data from the internal to the external network using a unique address. The incorporated hardware firewall prevents an unauthorized access.
