  • Due to high demand, KTM had to quickly increase production capacity at minimal cost.​
  • The implementation should carry very low risk and require no training for machine operators.
Real-time feedrate control ​

  • Based on real-time cutting data from the SINUMERIK control, the feedrate is optimized according to actual machining conditions using Optimize MyMachining /AdaptiveControl (OMM / AC). ​​

  • After a successful Proof of Concept (PoC), OMM / AC is now in use on five machines, with plans for installation on additional machines.​
The reduction in processing time by more than 10% was significant and resolved our capacity bottleneck.

KTM AG, with headquarter in Mattighofen Austria produces motorcycles on the highest level. The Engine Factory with around 96 people at Munderfingen site manufactures engine housings and cylinder heads.
