ISAGEN is a private power generation company that operates 16 power plants in Colombia. One of them is the Amoyá hydro power plant, which supplies the national grid with 510 GWh anually.
The goal is to ensure high availability of the hydroelectric power plant, aiming to supply sufficient power during demand peaks to maintain grid safety and reliability.
Two VB1 generator switchgears with vacuum switching technology for a hydro power plant.
The switchgear are equipped with a
main-disconnector, current and voltage transformers, surge arrestors, earthing
switch and interlocks
required by international standards for safe and proper operation.
Rated voltage of 17.5 kV, rated operating current of 2,500 A, and rated short-term current of 50 kA.
Connection to auxiliary transformer.
Indoor application.
Busbar connection on the generator and transformer side.
