The historic halls in the northern part of the Prague Main Train Station, also known as the Fanta's building, underwent a major renovation and modernization project. The goal was to seamlessly blend the early 20th century architectural elements with modern building technologies to create a comfortable indoor environment for visitors and commuters. The building is a dominant feature of the train station and also the largest Art Nouveau real estate monument in the Czech Republic.

Siemens provided the Desigo CC building management platform to enable precise control and monitoring of the building conditions. The platform was integrated with the building's heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and energy metering equipment. This allowed the building operator to maintain desired temperature, humidity, and air quality levels in different halls while preserving the original design elements like murals, mosaics, and stained glass. The system utilized a wide range of products, including Desigo PXC controllers..
Description
Desigo PXC controllers for the regulation of the heat exchanger station, regulation of air handling units, and other HVAC equipment
Desigo DXR2 room automation stations for individual room control
Desigo CC for central management of the entire controlled system
