That´s why the Tuzla Gemi Shipyard wanted Siemens to provide a comprehensive motor/generator maintenance and repair program to ensure the long-term availability of all motors and generators from incoming ships
In order to minimize downtimes, the customer requires the development and implementation of optimized maintenance schedules
The Motor Maintenance and Repair Program consisted of:
On-site services: Inspection, testing, repair and reporting at the customer´s site
In-house services: Maintenance and repair in the Siemens repair center in Istanbul incl. RCFA (Root Cause Failure Analysis
Furthermore, a maintenance and inspection plan was developed which ensures minimized downtimes during maintenance measures
The customer is able to focus on their core business, while Siemens handles their motors and generators
Increased availability of the motors and generators due to condition-based maintenance measures and optimized maintenance schedules
Significant cost savings due to optimized maintenance measures
