A long-established agricultural company processes raw agricultural materials in mills. The company is reaching its technical limits. Motor starters are outdated, and the control cabinets take up too much space. Safety and efficiency issues are becoming increasingly frequent. Service personnel must enter the switchgear rooms to perform manual resets. Important system data is not being recorded. Predictive maintenance is not possible. Many established companies still rely on outdated hardware that can only be operated manually and offers no data transparency. To ensure employee safety and production continuity, such infrastructures must be modernized urgently. Modern compact digital solutions offer an opportunity to build automation expertise from the bottom-up, with data transparency at every level – from the motor to the control center.
