Bottari Sistemi is one of the most
important companies in the sector of the collection of waste oils, oily
emulsions, solid waste impregnated with oils.
Since 1965 it has been present
in the field of depollution, emptying and cleaning of tanks and containers of
fuels, hydrocarbons, sludge and industrial waste, environmental remediation in
general.
Bottari represents the
solution to many disposal problems, with particular reference to oily materials
where for years it has enjoyed a position of absolute pre-eminence:
used oils
oily emulsions
solids impregnated with oil Bottari Sistemi's goal was to
modernize the plant with precise and reliable measuring instruments for
monitoring product separation and storage control.
Same years ago the customer
wanted to modernize the plant with a new centrifuge, Siemens was involved in
the design engineering to support them in the choice and sizing of measuring
instruments. These tools were needed to give feedback to the process control
system, improving its efficiency. The following instruments were
supplied and installed in different time period since 2017 up this year 2022: SITRANS
TS500 temperature sensors, continuous level meters with SITRANS DSIII pressure
transmitters, CLS100 capacitive point level measurements, mass flowmeters SITRANS
FCS300 at the entrance of the centrifuge, ultrasonic flowmeter clamp on SITRANS
FUS1010 at the outlet to measure the separated product, level meters with
SITRANS LT500 / LR110 system for monitoring the storage tanks.
With Siemens instrumentation,
the customer is able to control more efficiently the separation of waste oil
from water and impurities.
In this way the measurements
allow the process to work automatically, stable and safe. In addition, the ease
of commissioning with Quick Start Wizard functions, clear displays with
diagnostic and status messages on the instruments, ensure the user for having a
simple and fast interface.
