GALVA Anlagen-Technik GmbH is a provider of customized individual solutions for galvanizing plants and other transport technology applications. It does not focus on the quantity of plants constructed but on its specialization as a supplier of high-quality solutions with special consideration of individual customer requirements. The requirements is for a system that can easily be adapted to the end user's project size (1-27 traveling units) and offers a sustainable solution, as the systems are to run for approximately 10 years. The aim is to supply low-maintenance systems and improve efficiency in development, training and operation.
The customer used the WinCC Unified webinars to obtain information. The WinCC Unified System is used, consisting of HMI Unified Comfort Panels (mostly MTP700, partly also MTP1000) and WinCC Unified PC Runtime (50k) in combination with powerful SIMATIC IPCs. Up to five operators have simultaneous access via clients.

Thanks to consistency from panel to PC-based solutions, scalability and openness with Java scripts, the engineering and commissioning for different plant sizes with WinCC Unified require only 20% of the time compared to the previous system. Modern visualization with SVG graphics offers greater ease of use, and remote access via web browsers offers more flexibility.
The customer creates new hot-dip galvanizing plants and offers retrofit of existing systems. It is a provider of customized individual solutions for galvanizing plants and other transport technology applications. Innovative & operating concepts are to be implemented with a sustainable visualization system. Four projects have already been successfully implemented with WinCC Unified, approx. 2-3 plants p.a.
