GSK Consumer Healthcare Levice needed to upgrade an old version of their existing SIMATIC PCS 7. Since GSK
had fixed Siemens as a standard supplier and they are already familiar with the SIMATIC Virtualization as a Service (SIVaaS) solution, they wanted to integrate SIMATIC IT into the solution.
Siemens Service experts provided the Industrial Automation DataCenter (IADC) based on SIVaaS, vCentre for PCS 7 and SIMATIC IT.
In cooperation with Zenith, Italy, Siemens implemented the solution within two steps:
Create all the virtual machine for SIMATIC PCS7 and
SIMATIC IT
Implement a high
availability infrastructure with VSAN
