The central Siemens Energy Services organization for Silyzer plants needs to have transparency on their maintenance activities and asked Siemens to provide a solution for optimized maintenance of their Silyzer plants.
For optimization of the maintenance it is important to
have an overview of their entire installed base of their several plants in the field. Furthermore, Siemens Energy wants to have a full transparency of the maintenance history and activities
within a CMMS system over several plants in Germany (i.e. Hamburg, Mainz, Haßfurt, Salzgitter).
For a specific service project the Lifecycle Management Suite based on
COMOS MRO has been evaluated by the central Siemens Energy Services organization.
Siemens Service experts provided a suitable service solution by using Lifecycle Management Suite based on COMOS MRO and suitable Consulting Services in order to fulfill the
customer requirements described in several use cases.
The Lifecycle Management Suite optimizes the planning, execution and documentation of all service activities for plant maintenance. Based on COMOS MRO, the preconfigured cloud-based system provides Standard Operation Procedures (SOP) in the form of checklist items for lifecycle services associated with SIMATIC PCS 7 system components and Process Instrumentation devices.
All necessary process engineering components as electrolysis cells, pumps, valves, heat exchanger etc. were integrated in one CMMS system incl. appropriate service activities for maintenance.
During implementation a close collaboration with Siemens Energy Services (also known as New Energy Business (NEB) Services) including consulting services and
project support for implementation of data into LMS/COMOS MRO was necessary. NEB Services specific functions like RDSPP for maintenance objects and spare part
history were implemented.
Implementation and control of maintenance plans and repair activities
within one LMS instance
Link between material consumption of work orders and repair objects
Fast provision – only system setup allows the immediate provision of all functions without installation or maintenance effort
Full transparency – Efficient import and analysis functions create transparency – e.g. of obsolescence risks thanks to the regular evaluation of lifecycle and system status information
