Krispy Kreme Doughnuts left their previous drives supplier and converted their doughnut-making machines to Masterdrives.

Krispy Kreme is now upgrading (retrofitting) the approximately 600 machines installed worldwide to SINAMICS G120 drives and TIA automation (SIMATIC PLC).

The main purpose of the retrofit kit was to replace the older Micromaster drives with the latest SINAMICS G120 system. SD cards in each kit have custom software for the programming of the drive. Somone with absolutely no control experience can reload the new software into the new drives and PLCs.
