Due to an accident an arc led to the complete destruction of the medium-voltage system and thus to the standstill of the four connected wind farms. The error occurred in the cable connection compartment of the feeder panel and could have been prevented with the right sensors. The standstill of the four connected wind farms resulted in a loss of turnover of around 500,000 euros per month.

Delivery of an IoT-enabled medium-voltage NXPLUS C switchgear, including installation and commissioning, as well as replacement of the double floor. In addition, the IoT box was installed, configured and the NXpower Monitor application set up. Managed services including on-call duty complete the package.

With this comprehensive solution we do everything we can to maximize the availability of the substation. Using the NXpower Monitor application, the customer can continuously monitor the health status of the system. If there are anomalies in the measurement data, the customer can contact our experts directly via the on-call hotline. With this Siemens Xcelerator application unplanned shutdowns can be converted into planned service calls in the future and the availability of the substation is maximized.
