VWEW-energie is the municipal electricity and natural gas supplier in the Allgäu region. The expansion of a reliable but at the same time sustainable electrical infrastructure is being actively pursued - Siemens Smart Infrastructure is supplying VWEW with two gas-insulated, SF6-free medium-voltage switchgears from the new 8DJH 24 blue GIS portfolio, which will be used in transformer stations in the VWEW-energie grid area.

Like all other systems in the Siemens blue portfolio, this one uses F-gas-free Clean Air as the insulation medium, which is based exclusively on natural components of the ambient air. In combination with the innovative technology of the blue Switch, it continues to offer all the advantages of gas-insulated switchgear.
