Results: The influence of Optimize MyMachining /Adaptive Control alone made it possible to save between 20 and 25 percent of cycle time in the machining process and energy in a defined test setup including the workpiece.
  • Optimize MyMachining /Adaptive Control
  • This function allows you to get more out of the same machine tool with unchanged hardware thanks to adaptive feedrate control.
  • Machining processes are accelerated and energy is saved at the same time.
Where else can you find that: So much more productivity through software that runs along with it?
Dr. Thomas Trautner, Assistant Professor and Research Group Leader at IFT, TU Wien
The machine tool from the manufacturer WFL was used to rough an aluminum workpiece with pockets of different depths. The machine was equipped with measuring devices that recorded the consumptions of the entire machine as well as individual components such as the axes and cooling system. In addition, the axes and the spindle were measured via the SINUMERIK using a trace module. The machining parameters were customary in the industry.
Results: The influence of Optimize MyMachining /Adaptive Control alone made it possible to save between 20 and 25 percent of cycle time in the machining process and energy in a defined test setup including the workpiece.
