Engineering expenditures were to be reduced without losing proximity to the customer and the project. A further challenge lied in the operating interface's intuitive design, which is adjustable to various customer requirements. Intuitive operation coupled with high operational reliability were paramount requirements.
In order to meet these challenges, a combination of Comfort and Basic Panels as well as an ET200SP controller was employed. These devices were configured and interlinked in the TIA Portal engineering framework.
