Enabling a batch size of 1 in bulk production.
Ensuring vibration-free transport with acceleration values of up to 50 m/s².
Optimization of the material flow in the machine.
The individual carriers within the modular linear drive system multi-carrier system enable individual production down to a batch size of 1 without converting the machine. The motion control system SIMOTION and the powerful SINAMICS S120 drives enable vibration-free transport with maximum dynamics. The machine is simulated using the Software Mechatronics Concept Designer.
"The market demands more varied products within shorter and shorter timeframes. Today, with the modular machine concept, I can exchange systems and functions – and this is the only way to ensure that the machine is future-proof."
Rainer Feuchter, CEO of Optima
Flexible and individual driving of the trolleys to the machine units without converting the machine
Integrated drive functions enable high performance and simple engineering
Simulation of the machine design and detection of the optimization potential increase the productivity of the machine and reduce buffer zones
Optima, with headquarters in Schwäbisch Hall, is a family company with more than 2,000 employees. The mechanical engineering company designs and realizes packaging machines and special-purpose machines worldwide for the pharmaceuticals, life science, food & beverages, cosmetics, chemicals and sanitary paper industries. The aim of this project was the realization of a filling and packaging machine for the cosmetics industry which can produce multiple formats on one line with the help of a multi-carrier system.
