PPG operates globally in nearly 70 countries, and is a world leader in industrial coatings and specialty products. The company has a plant in Stowmarket, Suffolk that specialises in manufacturing paints used for automobile refinishing.
They were looking to improve the safety and efficiency of their 33 storage tanks and protect the local ecosystem from the potentially explosive solvents that are stored on the plant and contracted Lark Technologies, a Siemens System Integrator, to develop an overflow protection scheme.
