The electronics factory in Erlangen is renowned for producing and developing a broad range of industrial drives, frequency inverters, and control system. Competing in a market with up to 1,000 product variants, the factory has achieved remarkable success. Objectives: Pseudo failures during ICT testing require manual inspection, increasing effort and tying up test capacity, which can lead to bottlenecks in production. Additionally, tolerance limits must be adjusted manually, adding complexity and reducing overall process efficiency.
In-Circuit-Testing (ICT) in Electronic Manifacturing is known to be inaccurate. A lot of times ICT tests fail when the product is completely fine (pseudo error). This leads to high efforts in manual inspection and reduce capacity in the production. The goal of the project is to reduce pseudo failures and manual effort of inspection. AI Inference Server provides a runtime environment for custom AI models that classify function-tested PCBs, reducing pseudo test failures. The AI Asset Manager orchestrates, monitors, and scales AI models across the factory to ensure efficient and reliable operations.
By leveraging Siemens AI portfolio, we can focus on core value-adding tasks while deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle operations are seamlessly managed by our integrated solutions.
