The drying process needs to achieve higher accuracy and stable moisture control to produce higher quality products in MDF production lines. The customer had problems with the automation logic and the moisture pattern was not sufficient for higher quality. Therefore, Starwood needed to increase the production quality by using a more accurate moisture control in the MDF drying process.
At the customer's plant, Siemens service experts implemented an automation solution in the processes that are managed using PLC and SCADA systems.
Process knowhow and the Eff-DRY Smart Automation software were developed and commissioned by Siemens service experts.
Detailed scope of the project:
Module 2 of Eff-DRY automation algorithm (PLC) and SCADA programming for dryer process
Measurement and verification for the performance contract
Optimization by determining the working parameters in accordance with the variables
Variations in moisture development have been reduced by almost a half compared to the past.
