Turk Pirelli operates a conveyor machine including 108 Telemechanique converters. The assets were not state-of-the art which led to unplanned downtimes and limited the production availability. 

Hence, the customer needed a service partner who could offer a retrofit solution to minimize planned and unplanned downtimes by identifying weak points in their existing drive train.

Furthermore, the customer needed a partner who was able to perform all upcoming services within a short time during urgent shutdowns and to ensure a high spare parts availability. Also safety was an issue due to not be able to use all of its safety functions which they wanted to use it all.

Siemens provided a comprehensive drive train retrofit solution for 108 converters of the conveyor machine as well as a retrofit solution for the induction motor. Service experts installed and commisioned the 108 converters and prepared a diagram of all requested safety functions of the electrical schematic.
