AGT Ağaç wanted to reduce energy
consumption and increase efficiency at the facility. Therefore, the customer
has needs such as tracking energy consumption trends, identifying points of
high energy consumption, reporting the relationship between energy consumption
and production to analyze efficiency, and monitoring the carbon footprint.
Siemens
service experts offered the installation of an energy monitoring system as a
solution to our customer. The technical details of the project to be
implemented are as follows:
The
equipment to be used in the project and the software licenses for the energy
monitoring system will be provided and commissioned by Siemens service experts.
The equipment and software to be provided are:
SIMATIC
Energy Manager PRO V7.5
+600 energy
analyzers (SENTRON PAC3220)
+200 process
values from existing sensors, flow meters, transmitters
New added measurement
devices;
+20 air flow
meters, temperature and pressure sensors for compressed air
+5 steam
flow meter and liquid flow meters
Information
such as the number/tonnage of products produced, the production line they were
produced on, and the model of the product will be obtained via the OPC UA
protocol from the existing Kepware server.
Detailed
batch analysis for +15 different production lines and +1000 different material

customized automatic reports are prepared for the processes, and they are sent
daily to email groups. These reports include the energy cost report, carbon
footprint report, specific energy consumption report, idle-stop energy
consumption analysis, hourly energy consumption detailed analysis, and general
energy overview manager report.
The
forecast feature, which will perform future energy consumption predictions,
will be integrated into Energy Manager Pro.
+100 specific
alarm notifications in the energy monitoring system will be configured to be
sent to the customer representatives via email.
+150 energy
monitoring system screens will display KPI creation processes from an energy
efficiency perspective, along with energy regression analyses. These KPIs will
cover areas such as high electricity consumption points, natural gas, water
consumption, compressed air systems, cooling systems, boiler systems, and the
relationship between electricity consumption and production. Additionally, idle
consumption data based on line stoppages will be displayed on the energy
monitoring screens.
The devices commissioned within the scope of the
project will be included in the existing service maintenance agreement.
The customer
will be able to identify points of high energy consumption and thus have the
opportunity to plan necessary actions to reduce energy consumption.
On the energy
monitoring screens, there will be trend-based monitoring and comparison of
energy consumption. This will enable the customer to compare specific energy
consumption based on line and product.
Energy
consumption data will be generated in standard report formats on an hourly,
daily, weekly, monthly, and date-range basis and made available for customer
use.
Additionally,
the customer will be able to manually enter past consumption data into the
system, allowing them to keep records of past consumption and perform
historical comparisons and analyses.
Future energy
consumption predictions will be possible.
Detailed batch
analysis and automatic energy reporting will be provided.
A basic level
carbon footprint page will be created on the energy monitoring screens and made
available for customer use.
A two-day
training session specific to the energy monitoring system will be organized to
increase the customer’s usability of the system.
By including
the devices commissioned within the scope of the project in the service
maintenance agreement, Siemens will carry out maintenance activities on-site,
allowing the customer to focus on production processes.
