The mechanical and electrical components of the drive train are failure sources that can lead to severe faults and cost unplanned downtimes. That is why Rekor wanted to know the state of their motors. Therefore, the customer needs a partner like Siemens to provide a suitable condition monitoring solution. For the customer it is also an important key for success to utilize their maintenance personnel and equipment in the most efficient way.
Mobile Diagnostics with portable equipment involves dynamic (vibration) and static (hi-pot) tests at regular intervals according to customer needs. 21 motorsare analyzed if they have have higher priority on the customer's productivity. Vibration monitoring is the most reliable method to ensure early identification of mechanical faults - often months in advance. A static test analysis shows the conditions of windings. With this solution the customer receives regular, clearly structured status reports from their personal contracts. They can plan their own maintenance schedule according to reports done by Siemens Service experts. The Mobile Diagnostics Services included 2 dynamic tests and 1 static test a year.
Due to the customer's satisfaction the Mobile Diagnostics service is renewed every three years:

Rekor Kauçuk being founded 1947 in the Kurtuluş district of Istanbul, has moved to its current location in Pendik in 1978.
Today Rekor is the leading company of Turkish rubber industry, equipped with the newest machineries of the best manufacturers in the world. The plant in Pendik is placed on a 28,000 m2 land, with 10,000 m2 of these as closed area.
The production is mainly separated into two segments - the technical compound production and the precure tread production. The first one is rubber compounding operations for a wide range of automobile industry needs whilst the second one is producing precure treads for tyre retreading industry.
