The customer acquired a closed industrial site in the South of Germany in order to develop it into a multi-tenant location. Therefore a transformation strategy needed to be developed, considering various critical questions when opening a location e.g. energy management, energy procurement.
Prior to the start of the project, the customer submitted a questionnaire with matters of upmost urgency. On this ground, two knowledge sharing workshops with chosen SRE experts were prepared and held to clarify the issues mentioned.
The first workshop provided insights into developing an open industrial park with focus on topics like business strategy, procurement and marketing. The second workshop elaborated on the topic of energy management, covering the legal and the technological aspects of the implementation. Reflecting on the input, the customer's current strategies for the operation of a technology park were also analyzed and evaluated.
The customer was able to benefit from SRE's wealth of experience from successfully implemented industrial park transformations. When it came to the central issue - namely the energy supply, our customer couldn't be in safer hands. Siemens' energy experts was able to investigate the customer's case and provide project-specific answers.
